My name is Colbie! I was found as a stray in Richmond CA, roaming the streets, all matted and hungry with no home. A friend saw a picture of me with my matted hair and notified my foster mom that I was at the shelter. Her friend said, “If you squint, she looks like a Shih Tzu!” Fortunately, my foster mom went to the shelter to check me out and fell in love with me despite myself.⁠ ⁠ Currently, I’m living with my foster parents and their senior dog, as well as other dogs they may be dog sitting. I get along great with all the dogs, regardless of their size. I play with the toughest of them, holding my own in a wrestling match. I’m spunky, I’m sassy, and very independent. Although I play well with others, I keep myself entertained as well. Toys are my best friends, especially if they can be chewed. I love going on walks, even if I’m still learning. I am a bit shy with new humans but soon warm up to them. ⁠ ⁠ I’m seeking a loving and caring family that can keep up with me. Kids are good, as are other dogs. I’m an active little girl, so the more energy the better.
