The Rich Coast Project

Follow Message Edit

The Rich Coast Project is a participatory research, storytelling and digital archiving project dedicated to protecting the land rights and cultural heritage of the people of the southern Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. Our mission is to build a platform for the collection and dissemination of historical information relating to the identity and history of the area's inhabitants and to improve access to the information necessary for securing local rights to property and natural resources. We use digital archiving and participatory storytelling to help us reach toward our vision of a world rich in biocultural diversity in which local communities have a meaningful stake in their histories and their futures.
