Blue Hills Trail | Cross Country Skiing in Wisconsin | Home Trail Conditions Blue Hills Trail CONDITIONS Spring skiing. With warm sunny days snow leftover from the March 5th storm is diminishing. If interested in skiing bring your rock skis the base in some areas is very thin occasional bare spots are present and growing. After an overnight freeze try to time your skiing to take advantage of the sun and rising temps softening the surface but try to ski before the trails get too soft for enjoyable skiing.
