This morning, our recipient of our 21st Century Compassionate Leader Scholarship Winner from Weaver High School, Lena J came by for her photo op with Program Manager Misty Gardner. Lena will be attending Alabama A&M this fall on a soccer scholarship! We are extremely proud of this young lady & everything that she did as a Big for 2yrs in our Program! Congratulations! (fb)

The proven results of these wonderful friendships are improved grades and behavior decreased use of tobacco alcohol and illegal drugs increased self esteem confidence better relationships with adults and peers higher aspirations and caring about others. Todays youth face a variety of challenges and being matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister can help them navigate these challenges and reach their full potential.
