Inspiring, educating and empowering the manufacturing workforce of today and tomorrow. The Manufacturing Institute grows and supports the manufacturing industry’s skilled workers for the advancement of modern manufacturing. The Manufacturing Institute’s diverse initiatives support all American workers and emerging workers, including women, veterans and students, through skills training programs, community building and the advancement of their career in manufacturing. As the 501(c)(3) workforce development and education partner of the National Association of Manufacturers, The Manufacturing Institute is a trusted adviser to manufacturers, equipping them with resources necessary to solve the industry’s toughest challenges.

The Manufacturing Institute The State of the Manufacturing Workforce in 2025 21 February 2025 Workforce News The Innovators Quest Gets Students Excited About Manufacturing How FAME Supercharged a Moms Manufacturing Career Women MAKE Awards to Honor Outstanding Women in Manufacturing How Pioneer Service Solves the Retention Puzzle 2025 Women MAKE Awards Gala Heroes MAKE America SkillBridge Information Session Heroes Connect SEMI Military to Manufacturing Fort Riley Career Fair Employer Registration Receive Initiative Research Updates The Role of Culture and Employee Engagement The Manufacturing Institute in partnership with Colonial Life conducted a study on culture and employee engagement from March to May 2023. This project identifies key aspects of company culture impacts of culture on attraction and retention and methods of engaging employees. The study consisted of an online survey of manufacturing employees and manufacturers as well as indepth interviews with industry leaders. REVIEW THE RESEARCH Initiatives Communities MFG Day encourages companies and educational institutions to open their doors to students parents teachers and community leaders.
