The Native History Association is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes Native American history. Please visit us at www.nativehistoryassociation.org. The mission of the Native History Association is to promote the understanding and appreciation of Native American history in Tennessee. We do that by: Conducting professionally guided tours of Native historical sites. Presenting lectures, exhibits and other programs at appropriate venues. Working with federal, state, and local governments to increase visibility of Native history in public places such as parks, trails, and greenways through the use of interpretive signs, markers, exhibits and other media. Working with federal, state, and local governments and members of the tourism industry to promote Native historical sites as tourism destinations. Creating and distributing printed materials, videos, software, e-books, and other media to disseminate information on Native history to the widest possible audience. Using our web site to provide information about Native history. Working with and supporting other history-oriented organizations.The organization's motto is "Native history, everyone's heritage."
