Tickets @ bit.ly/SDLA2024 🌟 Geneviéve is a native San Diegan who was raised by her single mother Mae in Southeast San Diego. While in the fourth grade, Geneviéve decided to become an attorney after she was inspired by the achievements of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. Geneviéve is the Founding Executive Director of Community Advocates for Just and Moral Governance, known as MoGo, an impact litigation non-profit organization that holds the government accountable to everyone, especially marginalized communities. Geneviéve served San Diego County as a public defender for 13 years, and ran for public office in 2018 (San Diego County District Attorney) and 2024 (San Diego Mayor) where she proudly brought the voices of our most vulnerable, underserved, and neglected communities to the forefront. Geneviéve — a graduate of SDLA, class of 2017 — was inducted into the San Diego County Women's Hall of Fame in 2021 for her lifetime of accomplishments and exceptional contributions to the San Diego region through her tireless work impacting the community at large.
