Historical Society of Santa Rosa - Historical Society of Santa Rosa

In 1867, Sonoma County recognized Santa Rosa as an incorporated city, confirmed by California in 1868. The Historical Society of Santa Rosa is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of our town. The purpose of the Historical Society of Santa ROsa is to promote the knowledge of Santa Rosa's rich and diverse history in its many aspects and in the broadest sense and to encourage efforts to preserve evidence of the City's past, both it oral and written records and its structures, sites, and landscapes, thus furthering awareness that our history is a seamless web of connections between past and present.
