Tomato plants can be surprisingly high-maintenance — but when they’re properly supported and pruned they’ll reward you with pounds of produce all season long. To help you support your tomatoes, UGA Extension expert Bob Westerfield helped us breaks down why indeterminate tomatoes need strong staking systems (like the Florida weave) and how pruning sucker shoots boosts airflow and fruit size.
