Great movies every night, plus world-class concerts in a historic jailhouse in the heart of Helena! The Myrna Loy Center nourishes and celebrates the cultural life of greater Helena and rural Montana by presenting high-quality artistic works that otherwise would not come to this area; by commissioning new works and supporting regional artists; and by conducting high-impact arts education experiences for people of all ages, capacities, and incomes. The Myrna Loy Center is one of the few independent film houses in the entire region. For 40+ years, the Myrna Loy Center/Helena Presents has brought nationally and internationally significant artistic performances into Central Montana. The Myrna Loy enjoys a statewide reputation for presenting innovative works, creating outstanding school and community residencies, and nurturing the careers of local artists. The Center is a major influence in the cultural life of Montana, and many Helena-area residents say they chose to live here because their lives will be culturally enriched by the Myrna Loy's programs and films.
