LAUDERDALE AREA CONTINUOUSLY SINCE INCORPORATING ON DECEMBER 7, 1979, EXISTS TO MEET THE SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF KIDS (AGES 11-19). SINCE 2001, THE ORGANIZATION HAS FOCUSED ON HIGH-RISK KIDS IN SECURE/LEGALLY FORCED CONFINEMENT, CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES, JAILS, SPECIALIZED GROUP-FOSTER HOMES AND LOCKUPS BY PROVIDING PASTORAL CARE, BIBLE STUDIES, SPIRITUAL COUNSELING/GUIDANCE, LIFE COACHING, CHAPLAINCY SERVICES, AND SPECIAL HOLIDAY EVENTS SUCH AS THANKSGIVING, CHRISTMAS AND EASTER. PASTOR BOWN WAS RECENTLY AWARDED FLORIDA DJJ "VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR" AS A FL-DJJ CHAPLAIN. PASTOR BROWN SERVES ON THE SOUTH FLORIDA HUMAN TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE (SFHTTF) INTERFAITH COMMITTEE.
