Veterans to Farmers Inc

The mission of Veterans to Farmers is to train veterans in agricultural systems, technologies, and business operations for a fulfilling and sustainable lifestyle. Protectors to Providers Veterans learn new skills through the Veterans to Farmers programs and are introduced to a community of fellow veteran farmers who understand their culture and experiences. These relationships have led to sharing veteran-specific resources ranging from mental health support to housing assistance and navigating the Veterans Administration system. This program is free to all veterans; after enrollment, they receive a bi-weekly stipend ensuring that each veteran who graduates from the program does not end up in debt as they begin a career in farming. Our goal is to help revitalize the veteran's economic situation, not put a burden on it. The program seeks to eliminate some financial barriers that could deny veterans access to the program.

🌱 Important Update from Veterans to Farmers 🌱 After 10 incredible years of teaching veterans the healing power of agriculture, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause all classes for the 2025 season. As a small non-profit, rising operational costs have made it challenging to continue without stronger financial support. Our team has poured their hearts into this mission—often without compensation—because we believe deeply in the transformation that happens when veterans connect with soil, plants, and purpose. This is not goodbye. We’re not closing our doors—we’re taking time to regroup and explore sustainable paths forward.
