WARRIORS FOR AUTISM INCORPORATED

Warriors For Autism Incorporated is a non-profit organization founded by Deena and Olando Rivera in 2010 after years of advocating for their son who was diagnosed with Autism in 2001. Our mission is to enlighten, enrich and empower the lives of families on the autism spectrum by offering inclusive programs and services that fit the ever growing needs of the community.Along with our direct services, social media pages and events we'd like to enlighten the community to the current resources being offered locally and what they can do to help. By creating affordable programs and services that emphasize sensory and allergen friendly themes we want to enrich the lives of these families by catering to their very special needs while making them feel as included as possible by opening them up to siblings as well. Partnering with local businesses and other local autism charities in our community we hope to work together to offer more ASD friendly venues that families can visit as a unit. Long gone should be the days when families should be ashamed and hide in their homes for fear of how their children will be perceived. It is time for them to integrate with society and have both the children and society begin adapting to one another thus empowering them to believe in themselves instilling a sense of confidence.
