TAC is happy to promote this Maryland event taking place on May 17, organized by the Biya Belayneh Foundation for Mental Health (BBF). BBF was founded in October 2021 in memory of Biya Belayneh, a beloved son who tragically lost his life after a prolonged struggle with severe mental illness (SMI) and substance use. His story reflects the systemic failures and heartbreaking consequences that occur when access to compassionate, timely, and competent care is denied, particularly within immigrant communities facing cultural, linguistic, and legal barriers. For decades, TAC's founder, Dr. E. Fuller Torrey, fought for people with severe mental illness (SMI) when no one else would. And his tireless work continues to this day. Will join us in honoring the vision and continuing the mission set forth by Dr. Torrey? Donate to the annual Torrey Action Fund giving campaign today. Together we can build a brighter future for everyone impacted by SMI! tac.org/donate (fb)
