Hi, I'm Sam! I am the Director of Community Programs, and I oversee the development and management of community-based behavioral health programs, ensuring they align with the CCBHC model of care. I provide leadership in program development, service coordination, and community partnerships to enhance access to comprehensive mental health and substance use services. Additionally, I manage the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) grant, ensuring program effectiveness, compliance, and sustainability. I work across departments to support integrated, evidence-based approaches that reduce barriers to care and promote overall wellness. My leadership journey is just beginning, but the biggest lesson I’m learning is that happy accidents are inevitable—whether I’m in a leadership role or not. I may not always have all the answers, but I am confident in my ability to seek them out and learn when given the opportunity. I strive to remind staff of the impact they have on clients' lives by discussing success stories and client progress. I encourage open communication and emphasize the importance of work-life balance and self-care to help prevent burnout. I also believe the little things matter, so I make a point to recognize and share the strengths I see in staff, highlighting them during supervisions to foster growth and confidence!
