Organized on June 27, 1901, Oak Mound Cemetery is the resting place of over 320 individuals. The former Oak Mound Church, which stood in front of the cemetery for over 100 years, closed in July, 2011. Oak Mound Cemetery Association is still active. The purpose of this association shall be to preserve, maintain, enhance, and care for the cemetery proper and surrounding grounds in every manner, to deliver superior service to its members, providing for the disposition of human remains only. In addition, this association shall manage the business affairs of the cemetery, preserve its heritage, and maintain its historical records.

The annual meeting of the Oak Mound Cemetery Association was held today at North Buffalo Church in Kragnes Township. Officers for the coming year are as follows: PRESIDENT: David Swanson VICE PRES. : Trent Gilbery SECRETARY: Nancy Valenzuela TREASURER: Alex Swanson Thanks to your continued support of our cemetery everyone.
