To a standing room only crowd, Eric Holcomb, Executive Director of the Baltimore City Commission for Historical and Architectural Preservation (CHAP) and author, delivered a talk about the history and role of local historic preservation in the city. The prevalence of beautiful buildings and architecturally diverse neighborhoods in Baltimore is due, in part, to 60 years of the efforts of CHAP in designating sites, buildings, landscapes, and neighborhoods as historic landmarks and districts. This talk took place on Saturday afternoon at historic Mount Clare Museum (circa 1760s) and was followed by a garden party on the bowling green.
