We were thrilled to be invited to participate in the official unveiling of a beautiful mural painted by Haitian artists, created to commemorate the Tri sister city relationship between Cap-Haitien and New Orleans. New Orleans and Cap-Haitien, Haiti have a strong relationship often described as a "sister city" or "twin city" relationship due to their shared history, culture, and ancestry. They are referred to as "twin sisters separated by birth". Many New Orleanians have family ties to Haiti, with Cap-Haitien being a key location for ancestral connections.
