TO PROVIDE ENCOURAGEMENT, GUIDANCE, AND ASSISTANCE TO THE PEOPLE OF OUR COMMUNITY IN THE MOBILIZATION OF RESOURCES TO COMBAT POVERTY. THE COUNCIL'S GOAL IS TO INCREASE THE CAPACITIES OF INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS TO DEAL WITH THEIR OWN PROBLEMS WITHOUT THE NEED OF FURTHER ASSISTANCE.

Helping Individuals Achieve and Maintain SelfSufficiency The Community Action Council CAC serves as Washington Countys federally mandated Antipoverty Agency and is the designated Community Action Agency. Our Services Case Management Those in need of assistance with housing issues may come into the agency for more information and to apply for services. Circles Circles is a comprehensive poverty alleviation initiative aimed at empowering community members to pull themselves and their families out of poverty.
