The Community Doula Program connects families with information and support during birth, pregnancy, a The Community Doula Program (CDP) is a project of Heart of the Valley Birth and Beyond (HVBB), a 501(c)3 organization with a mission to improve health equity and the well-being of pregnant and parenting families in the mid-Willamette Valley through advocacy, education, resource coordination, research, and the provision of direct services. Launched in 2018 with pilot funding from the InterCommunity Health Network-Coordinated Care Organization (IHN-CCO) Delivery Systems Transformation Committee, the CDP was designed to train, coordinate, and culturally, socially, and/or linguistically match doulas to pregnant IHN-CCO members. The CDP has developed programming, as well as policies and procedures, that allow it to function as an independent doula hub.
