Association of Independent Midwives of Maryland AIMM is the professional organization of home birth midwives practicing in Maryland. We support independent midwives in every Maryland community to provide safe affordable outofhospital care to the families they serve. AIMM recognizes home birth midwives as integral members of the health care team who practice with confidence within their legal scope of care and who consult collaborate and refer within the wider healthcare system to provide safe continuity of care for the people and families they serve. People turn to AIMM for support of their sovereignty over their own health care including choice of care provider and birth site.
