Across Tamatave, conversations are shifting and Cœur Ouvert is at the center of it. Led by Diamondra Rafiringa and supported by a seed grant from The Pollination Project, this new initiative is creating safe spaces, building resilience, and challenging stigma faced by the #LGBT community in #Madagascar. Through counseling, peer support, school outreach, and cultural events, Cœur Ouvert is planting the seeds of acceptance and mental well-being, while a digital platform ensures no one is left behind, no matter where they live. Stanley Anigbogu Wins the Commonwealth Youth Award! 🏆 You may remember when we first introduced you to Stanley Chidubem Anigbogu, the inspiring young founder of LightED in Nigeria. Back then, he had just received a $1,000 seed grant from The Pollination Project to turn his bold vision into reality, transforming waste into renewable energy for communities without access to electricity. Today, we’re happy to share that Stanley’s incredible journey has been recognized on a global stage: he is a recipient of the 2025 Commonwealth Youth Award, one of the most prestigious honors for young leaders across the world. 🌍 In March, Stanley traveled to the UK, where he was celebrated for his work and even had the chance to meet King Charles and other world leaders. Since receiving his initial grant, Stanley has: ❇️ Installed 400 solar street lamps and charging stations in an IDP camp and two schools ❇️ Provided electricity to 1,000+ people ❇️ Raised over $500,000 to scale LightEd ❇️ Served 10,000 refugees in 16 camps ❇️ Trained 6,000 students in sustainability ❇️ Recycled 20,000+ kg of waste All of this started with one small grant and a big dream. Stanley’s story is a shining example of what’s possible when we invest in grassroots visionaries.
