Northern Virginia Veterans Association
NOVA Veteran’s mission is critical due to the vulnerable and most susceptible population of veterans we support, who are the elderly, disabled, health-challenged, and the underserved. Our distinct population of veterans are not able to access and receive services without our direct personal attention, support and case management. Our support includes: evaluating comprehensive needs, filling out applications, searching for and finding appropriate services, coordinating with providers/programs (veteran and nonveteran) so veterans receive all services needed and available. We are the only local organization that performs a comprehensive veteran intake, determines priority of needs, case manages, advocates and provides continual follow up to ensure services are received and continued.

Thus eliminating the frustrations anxiety depression and suicide that plagues this marginalized population. We have a distinct and fundamental mission as we focus on taking care of our most vulnerable veterans here in Virginia utilizing local trusted partners. We coordinate and case manage through a continuum of services offer warm handoffs and provide followup until all needs are satisfied in order to improve the lives and wellbeing of those veterans who are underserved marginalized and incapable of finding and receiving services on their own.
