Link to register for free zoom classes https://t.co/U7NyuxUJrn We teach trauma-sensitive mindfulness to young people (12 - 24 y.o.) and adult staff inside schools and the court, foster care, shelter, immigration, psychiatric & suspension systems—breaking down race/class barriers to mindfulness education. Our teaching model fosters embodied awareness and collective care through movement (e.g., yoga/qi gong), thematic discussions designed to elicit students’ wisdom and peer learning, and guided meditation. Our classes and trainings cultivate resilience and community/individual well-being; support co-regulation; and mitigate secondary trauma and staff burnout. Simultaneous work with young people and staff helps overtaxed systems become more supportive, empathic, and responsive to the interconnection between young people and adults’ well-being.

Lineage Project Thank you NYC for 25 incredible years. This spring Lineages board of directors made the painstaking decision to wind down our programming on August 30 2024 and close the organizations doors this fall. This is a sad and complex transition for our team past and present who breathed life into Lineages programs for the last 25 years.
