In Georgia nearly threequarters of children who are poor readers in 3rd grade remain poor readers throughout high school and these children are more likely to drop out of school. The most alarming news is 85 of all children involved in the juvenile justice system are functionally illiterate. These statistics show that most children who are not intellectually equipped by the 3rd grade will either drop out become incarcerated or struggle with chronic unemployed or a low paying jobs.

Dare to Dream Foundation will be hosting our annual Community Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 19th, 2025. The bash will be held downtown Marshallville, GA from 11am to 1pm. Our goal is to ensure that local youth are equipped with the necessary school supplies.
