NETWORK joins all people of goodwill in condemning the murder of two Israeli Embassy staff in Washington, DC. We all have a duty to oppose violence in every form, which violates human dignity and undermines the fabric of democracy. Earlier this week, the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration’s decision to end TPS for Venezuelans to move forward—putting 350,000 of our neighbors at risk of losing legal status and work permits. This ruling disregards the deep crisis in Venezuela and threatens to tear families apart and force people back into danger. As people of faith, we are called to love our neighbor, not turn our backs on those seeking safety and stability. We applaud the members of Congress who are advocating for just solutions to this issue, and we urge DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to reverse this course. We must choose compassion over cruelty. (fb)
