New shoes, new hope. 👟 We teamed up with Mr. Rogers Windows and Samaritan's Feet International to distribute new shoes and socks to more than 430 students at Bettie F. Williams Elementary in Virginia Beach. Dozens of volunteers from Sentara and partner organizations—including Cox Communications, Truist, Dominion, and Communities in Schools of Hampton Roads—spent the day fitting shoes, sharing healthy habits, and bringing joy to young students. Each child received a tote labeled “Health, Opportunity, Peace, Education”—a message of HOPE we hope lasts long after the shoes are outgrown. “Health shows up in many ways,” said Iris Lundy, Sentara's vice president of health equity, diversity, and inclusion. “We started with our kids—our future—to promote health, provide education, and bring smiles.” This event supports our mission to improve health every day by meeting people where they are—with compassion and care. 💛 #SentaraCares #CommunityHealth #Shoes #Kids (fb)
