Tatanka Luta Home for future generations Tatanka Luta is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to rebuild and heal the Lakota Nation of Peoples by preparing the children through knowledge and understanding of their beautiful way of life passed down from the ancestors so they will become good mothers fathers life givers warriors and leaders to preserve their way of life for the future generations. Tatanka Luta recognizes the serious need for healthy stable sufficient home living Environments for the youth that are currently being placed in foster care in the State of South Dakota. These numbers are currently reaching epic proportions amongst the Dakota Lakota and Nakota Youth. Tatanka Luta is committed to providing a safe spiritually centered home environment creating health wellbeing and strong spiritual principles.
