This page is for people who want to follow, join, or support the All American Riders. Thank you for expressing your interest in the All American Riders. We are a group of United States military veterans who are also motorcycle enthusiasts. The All American Riders seek to support military veterans who bravely served their country through personalized assistance that fills the void left by other organizations. Our mission is left intentionally vague as we refuse to be limited in the type of aid that we provide. Since our establishment in 2015, we have participated in hospital visits, welfare checks, security posts, military ceremonies, awareness rallies, fundraisers, and countless rides. 100% of our donations go directly to local veterans and their families.It is staggering that roughly twenty-two veterans take their own lives each day. Further, the American veteran is indoctrinated with a pride that often refuses to ask for help. As not all scars are visible, veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries, among other ailments, often go unnoticed and untreated. Many other struggles are not directly supported by larger organizations. Frustrated by the failings of standard veteran institutions to seek out and target local vets, our first five members decided to start our own organization in 2015 to better identify and serve those who are struggling, by any means necessary. Arguably our largest accomplishment is our support of SSgt Christopher Matthews (AKA Survivor), an active duty Marine who was diagnosed with leukemia. We made friends with Chris, and even raised funds to house his parents while he underwent treatment. Another Marine, GySgt Charles Hotetz (AKA Recoil), was personally affected when his sister became a survivor of the San Bernardino terrorist attack. We chose to aid their family through emotional and monetary support.Although a small startup organization, there is no substitute for the passion we have for our veterans. We will never simply write a check or send a letter. Personalized support begins one-on-one, and results in a relationship that endures, as evidenced by the fact that both individuals mentioned above quickly became members of the All American Riders. Although we have only been actively supporting local veterans for approximately ten months, we have seen mighty change in the lives of those around us. Now that we have been awarded our 501(c)(3), we hope to dramatically increase our impact within our community. On August 27, we are holding our inaugural Silkies Slow Ride to bring awareness to the issue of veteran suicide. As always, we are actively seeking local veterans who are struggling in any way.
