THE DOUGLAS SOUTHALL FREEMAN HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB RECOGNIZES AND SUPPORTS ATHLETIC PROGRAMS AND RELATED ACTIVITIES AT DOUGLAS SOUTHALL FREEMAN HIGH SCHOOL IN RICHMOND, VIRGINIA. THE CLUB PROVIDES A METHOD OF RAISING FUNDS FOR TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT NEEDED BY THE STUDENTS AND COACHES PARTICIPATING ON VARIOUS TEAMS AND RELATED ACTIVITIES. FUNDRAISING, ATHLETIC EVENTS, AND RELATED ACTIVITIES OCCUR PRIMARILY IN THE RICHMOND, VIRGINIA METROPOLITAN AREA.

While Henrico County provides funding for basic needs such as coaching positions and transportation it is the Boosters Club that works to offset many of the expenses required to build competitive successful sports teams.
