Yesterday, we celebrated Dr. Tammy Mann and her time with us as Campagna’s President and CEO. In a special honor, Mayor Alyia Gaskins read a proclamation stating that May 28th, 2025 be known as Dr. Tammy L. Mann Day for Children and Families! We are grateful for Dr. Mann’s over 13 years of service to children and families in Alexandria and for her remarkable legacy as a champion for early childhood education. Thank you to all the staff, board members, community partners, and city leaders who joined us! It was so wonderful to gather as a community to send off our wonderful leader! (fb)

Over 100 teachers, students, and their family members came together in early May to mark another great year of the New Neighbors program. We were delighted to listen to the poems written by two of our students, Santiago and Laila, as part of our annual newsletter project, which focused on sharing their vision for a more just world. After awarding certificates for each student and thanking our awesome volunteers, we enjoyed a delicious potluck of dishes and delights from the 30+ countries represented by our New Neighbors community.
