THE FORT WAYNE AIR SHOW, INC. (FWAS) WAS CREATED AS A NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY PARTNER TO THE 122ND FIGHTER WING BASE IN FORT WAYNE, INDIANA TO HELP PRODUCE AND SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY'S FIRST FULL-FLEDGED AIR SHOW AND TO FORM A BASE FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE AIR SHOWS. THE 2012 AND FUTURE FORT WAYNE AIR SHOWS ARE ENVISIONED TO HAVE THREE-FOLD PURPOSE: FIRST, TO DEMONSTRATE THE MAJESTY AND POWER OF MILITARY AND GENERAL AVIATION TO THE CITIZENS OF NORTHERN INDIANA; SECOND, TO SHOW COMMUNITY SUPPORT OF THE MILITARY PRESENCE IN FORT WAYNE; AND FINALLY, TO INVITE THE PUBLIC ONTO THE GROUND OF THE 122ND AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, SO THAT THEY MAY APPRECIATE THE BREADTH AND SCOPE OF ITS ACTIVITIES.

The USAF Thunderbirds are returning to the Fort Wayne Air Show in the summer of 2025 and we are already hard at work putting together a thrilling weekend that surpasses any and all expectations created from our memorable shows in 2019 and 2022.
