About the Men39s Winter Refuge The Minot Area Mens Winter Refuge a 501c3 nonprofit mens homeless shelter has provided shelter to more than 2000 men experiencing homelessness since opening our doors in 2013. From a humble beginning in the winter of 201314 with men sleeping on air mattresses and sleeping bags the Men39s Winter Refuge has since moved to a comfortable house in southeast Minot. The house features 12 beds in 4 bedrooms with 2 full bathrooms and large kitchendining and living room areas.
