The primary purpose of the organization is promote the art of the Brass Band, and to promote awareness of music to the general public. The organization also educates youth and promotes brass music through its Youth Brass Band Camps and educational outreach activities. The organization's mission statement reads, “To bring joy, understanding and inspiration through the power of music."
