Social Links Login Main navigation Washington Association of Colleges for Teacher Education The Mission of the Washington Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is to provide leadership on issues related to professional education with primary focus on teacher education. This Mission is pursued through activities which Collaboration AACTE and WACTE collaborate to strengthen their advocacy efforts share experience and expertise and expand their members professional development opportunities. To this end our Chapters relationship with AACTE is a voluntary affiliation that allows us to advance our members interests. Statement on Racism The Washington Association of Colleges for Teacher Education WACTE the group of colleges and universities that prepare teachers for Washingtons K12 schools condemns the latest in a long series of police killings of African Americansthe death of George Floyd in Minneapolis at the hands of police officersand hope our ongoing efforts to diversify the teaching workforce and specifically prepare teachers with antiracist tools can contribute to the healing and changes necessary as we move forward.
