Our Place Nashville

Our Place Nashville empowers adults with developmental disabilities by providing affordable homes, meaningful jobs and inclusive communities in which to live. This is a non-profit that empowers adults with developmental disabilities by providing homes that are affordable, work that is meaningful, and inclusive communities in which to live. Our Place Nashville empowers adults with developmental disabilities by providing homes that are affordable, work that is meaningful, and inclusive communities to surround them for a lifetime. We partner with other non-profit organizations to provide brick-and-mortar housing, called Friendship Houses, and we create a safe and rewarding interdependent living environment, placing individuals with developmental disabilities alongside graduate students, predominantly from Vanderbilt Divinity School. The students provide support and friendship, while the adults with disabilities teach the students what it's like to live life with learning differences. We help our residents find employment and volunteer opportunities that give them a sense of accomplishment, independence and community.
