The Ben Johnson Educational Center

The mission of Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is to build community in Natchitoches and give access to social and economic success for all of its residents. The mission of the Center is to empower the residents of Natchitoches Parish through social and economic opportunities. The goal of the Center is to empower people to break the cycle of generational poverty that plagues Natchitoches by teaching individuals the workplace competencies and social-emotional skills proven to be vital in achieving economic autonomy. In addition, through the Center’s programs the individual will acquire the confidence, optimism, network of support, and positive identity necessary to become an active participant in the community’s economic success.
