Today we honor 155 years since the death of Laurent Clerc, one of the most legendary people in Deaf history! Last month, our DHI team attended the celebrations in France of the 40th anniversary of the Association Laurent Clerc, and the 20th anniversary of the Laurent Clerc Museum, both based in his hometown, La Balme-les-Grottes. In addition to staffing a DHI information booth, the team visited the building where Clerc was born, and enjoyed academic presentations and social events.
