A big thank you to all the volunteers who braved the weather on Saturday to join DBR in planting woody vegetation. Six volunteers helped the crew plant 720 plants consisting of Beach Rose, Bayberry, and Beach Plum. These plants help to stabilize the dune all the while supporting native species including pollinators and migrating song birds! As we gear up for the growing season we are also monitoring invasive plant species. Our Vegetation Technician will be hosting volunteer days throughout the summer to remove these plants and give out native plants more space! (fb)
