This! Week! So many amazing moments to share and celebrate. Check this one out: It was a BIG moment of collective gratitude. In fact, we would call it a celebration in appreciation to the clinical supervisors and floor staff of 4S, an acute rehab floor, at our affiliate hospital, @themeaningofcare. Our NMC clinical students truly recognized and absorbed the investment the staff of 4S placed into shaping them into the next generation of nurses. Here's what a few of our students shared: 💙Katy💙 It’s inspiring to see how each of you brings such passion and skill to the work you do here on the acute rehab floor. You've not only taught us valuable technical skills, but you’ve also shown us the importance of compassionate care and holistic patient rehabilitation. The way you balance complex care needs while maintaining a positive, supportive atmosphere is something we deeply admire. Your influence will undoubtedly guide us throughout our nursing education and nursing careers. 💙Courtney💙 The knowledge you share with us goes far beyond textbooks or lectures—it’s the real-world experience with real patients who are here to recover, that we’ll carry forward, particularly in the area of rehab nursing. We've learned so much from observing how you handle complex patient cases with such expertise and empathy. Your mentorship is an invaluable part of our education, and we feel lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from you on 4-South! 💙Alivia💙 As students, we often find ourselves challenged, but it’s your encouragement and guidance on the acute rehab floor that have helped us overcome those challenges. The first clinical rotation is both exciting and scary. You've shown us the delicate balance of providing both physical and emotional care to patients during their recovery process. The kindness on this team is unsurpassed! Your willingness to answer questions and teach us in the midst of busy shifts is something we recognize and truly appreciate. We are grateful for the support that each of you have given us during this clinical rotation. This includes CNAs, RNs, therapists, Cores and leadership. 💙Manisha💙 Each of you has played a critical role in shaping our understanding of patient care in an acute rehabilitation setting. From managing complex rehabilitation schedules to working with multidisciplinary teams, you’ve been a living example of what it means to be a nurse. You've made a lasting impact on us in this our first clinical rotation, and we’ll carry those lessons with us in every patient interaction. Thank you for being such wonderful role models for us to learn from! 💙Jerry💙 The way you work together as a team on this rehab floor has taught us how vital collaboration is in nursing. We’ve seen firsthand how your communication, trust, and respect for each other improves patient outcomes in rehabilitation. You've shown us that nursing is not just about individual skill but about working together to provide the best care for patients recovering from significant injuries or illnesses. Last week NMC hosted a few stellar guests: the Methodist Health System 2025 High School Interns! 💙This highly competitive internship program, for juniors and seniors, is not only paid, but it gives selected participants the opportunity to split their time between Methodist Hospital and Nebraska Methodist College. During their first night on campus with us the new class of interns experienced both the Ultrasound and Nursing Labs. Students were able to ultrasound 🐠 goldfish, learn how to give 💉injections, and assess 🩺🫀 heart and 🩺🫁 lung sounds!
