The Love Quilt Project builds relationships between South African and American children through education in kindness, tolerance, and compassion. The children draw messages of love that are stitched into quilts for children in South Africa and America affected by HIV/AIDS. LQP donates funds to the education of each child who receives a Love Quilt.

Nelson Mandela THE LOVE QUILT PROJECT STORY LQP raises funds to support the specific educational and emotional needs of atrisk children living in foster care in South Africa and the United States. Along with the donation for their educational needs we also engage with children in both countries to create art squares containing messages of compassion kindness and love for children facing the challenges of foster care. These messages are stitched into beautiful handmade quilts and then given to each child we help.
