“BROTHERS and sisters, stick with Jesus. Keep close to the Lord. Stay connected to God.” At Tuesday evening’s Baccalaureate Mass, Fr. Bill O’Brien, SJ opened his homily with this line. While he admitted his advice to the Senior Class wasn’t very original, not obsessing over worldly things, but rather, investing in one’s relationship with our Lord will provide long term satisfaction. Fr. O’Brien, SJ went on to acknowledge that some days will be tougher than others but encouraged the graduating Seniors to stay close to Jesus through a faith community, personal prayer and the sacramental life. Commissioned to go out and live the grad at grad – Open to Growth; Religious; Loving; Intellectually Competent; Committed to Justice, the Seniors received their blessed St. Ignatius Loyola medal from WJ’s Principal, Sean Lynch ’94 and WJ’s President, Timothy Grady. Next stop - Graduation, Sunday, June 1! #Jesuit Educated #AMDG (fb)
