We are a group of individuals that saw a need ,and made it a goal to fill it. Cenia's House of Hope Nonprofit Organization The MissionMore than 1.65 million Americans live in abject poverty, which is equivalent to $2 dollars a day or $510 dollars a month for a family of three. Our food program help only a minor part of this population since their income must be 130% below the official poverty line, it does not help the somewhat above poor populace. This makes it hard for individuals or families to make the necessary repairs on their homes since they are working on crumbs to feed their family. Not to mention poor housing can contribute to so many health problems, such as mold, excessive cold, which can cause cardiovascular, and respiratory diseases. Unstable health may also lead to anxiety and depression. Some of the ways that we can minimize the effects of poverty is by bringing together our resources; skills, knowledge, donations and volunteering to help produce more sufficient living environments for these individuals. This work is done through volunteers, donations and paid professional such as contractors and electricians. Your donation helps us be able to pay for these individuals so that we are able to help more. We accept almost all donations; furniture, land, material, labor and more. Cenia's House of Hope does not discriminate against race, creed or sexual orientation. The BeginningReason behind our missionIn the early 2000s my family began to meet individuals with low income that were in dire of need of home repair. Being empathetic towards these individuals we decided to help. Unfortunately this began to put strain on our bodies and finances so we had to stop. That is where the idea of Cenia's House of Hope begun. If we wanted to continue to help others we needed to have more sufficient funds and several volunteers.
