National Track & Field League

The National Track and Field League is a federally recognized 501(c)3 organization with a focus on youth outreach and empowering youth in disenfranchised demographic localities through the vehicles of education and athletic training. The National Track and Field League, as known as NTFL, has the mission to provide academic education and increase athletic competence amongst youth in underprivileged demographic localities who exhibit a passion in track and field, while fostering the advancement of club, series-style, organized competition on a national level. NTFL serves as a philanthropic body in its community; providing internship opportunities for young professionals, in addition to Physical Education Youth Speed Camps. The National Track and Field League camp clinic will serve a target base of male and female adolescents from the ages of 12-17, who reside in demographically under-privileged localities. Our organization adds to the collaborative effort to increase and enforce the physical and psycho-social development of the children in these communities. NTFL provides opportunities for youth to access and participate in educationally enriched athletic camp clinics, where they train for a pay-to-play sport in which they would otherwise be financially ineligible or incapable to engage. Our camps will also expose student athletes to scholars and practitioners in the fields of Allied Health and Sports Science, to pique the youth's interests in disciplines beyond track and field. Currently, our camps will serve children who are residents in the following localities where our roster of track meets are to be tentatively held (Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; Orlando, FL; Waco, TX; Little Rock, AR; and Raleigh, NC). NTFL expects to serve approximately 40 campers at each camp clinic event.During this 3 day camp, NTFL will provide campers with a complimentary T-shirt, customized pencil and notebook, and all educational materials needed to successfully complete camp trial. Campers will also be provided with breakfast and lunch throughout camp stay. Furthermore, all student athletes who successfully complete camp will be eligible for (1) free individual student admission ticket to the respective NTFL track meet in their home state. As camp fees and costs are one of the main obstacles barring low-income student athletes with limited resources from camps that foster such education and advanced training, NTFL will appeal to sponsors and donors to assist our non-profit organization in absorbing the majority of the cost of attendance for these children.Another innovative component to NTFL is our mission to provide a sanctioned arena for not-for-profit track clubs to organize and compete in series-style meets, in varying states throughout the country, concluding with an annual Championship meet. NTFL has the agenda and commitment of broadening the fan base of track and field, and raising national awareness of this sport.

I work in a nonprofit and listing our organization on Eduo.org helped us reach new audiences and even new volunteers. It’s easy to use and feels built with love.

As a teacher, I use Eduo in class to show students how civic engagement works. It’s inspiring and educational. Highly recommend for schools and community groups.
