💔 The Struggles Survivors Face with Trust & Unconditional Love 💔 Survivors of human sex trafficking often find it incredibly difficult to trust others, especially when it comes to receiving unconditional love. For years, they've been exploited, manipulated, and taught to believe that love always comes with an agenda. At Idaho COBS, we often hear new survivors ask, "What do I owe you for that?" when we offer something as simple as a kind word, a meal, or a listening ear. This is a direct result of the trauma they’ve endured. They’ve been conditioned to think that everything in life has a cost, that nothing is given freely. They’ve learned that love can be transactional. But true, unconditional love is foreign to them. 💡 Rebuilding trust is one of the most challenging parts of the healing process. Survivors need to learn that there are people who care without expecting anything in return. They need to see that there are safe, healthy relationships built on respect and care. At Idaho COBS, we work hard to provide a space where survivors can feel valued and supported, not for what they can offer, but simply for who they are. We help them rebuild their ability to trust, and show them that they deserve love without strings attached. ❤️ We are here to help survivors learn what healthy relationships look like—relationships built on respect, trust, and kindness. If you or someone you know is a survivor of trafficking and needs support, you are not alone. 📞 Idaho COBS Crisis Hotline: (208) 803-1695 📞 National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888 or Text: 233733 ("HELP" or "INFO") #EndHumanTrafficking #SurvivorSupport #HealingIsPossible #HealthyRelationships #YouAreWorthy #idahocobs (fb)

🚨 Why Victims Stay with Their Trafficker 🚨 Victims of human sex trafficking often feel trapped due to fear, manipulation, and psychological control. Here’s why they may stay with their trafficker: 🔸 Fear of Death or Harm – Traffickers threaten harm to victims or loved ones, keeping them in constant fear. 🔸 Fear of Law Enforcement – Victims may fear arrest or blame if they seek help. 🔸 Familial Conditioning – Many victims come from unstable or abusive homes, making them feel unworthy of a better life. 🔸 Fear of Disappointment – Victims may feel loyalty or fear of letting their trafficker down. 🔸 Homelessness/Survival Sex – Victims, especially those without homes, may see trafficking as a means to survive. 🔸 Stockholm Syndrome – Victims can develop emotional bonds with their trafficker, believing they are "loved" or "protected." 🔸 It’s the Only Lifestyle They Know – Traffickers make victims feel dependent and convince them this is their only option. 🔸 Denial of Victimhood – Victims may deny their exploitation, not recognizing they’re being trafficked. Remember, victims are never to blame. Traffickers control and manipulate, often leading victims to believe there’s no escape. If you suspect someone is being trafficked, report it. Your intervention can save a life. 📞 National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1-888-373-7888 or Text: 233733 ("HELP" or "INFO") 📞 Idaho COBS Crisis Hotline: (208) 803-1695 #EndHumanTrafficking #BreakTheCycle #StopExploitation #YouAreNotAlone #HelpIsHere #idahoCOBS (fb)
