Great River Rescue was established in 1977 as a no-kill animal shelter in Bemidji, MN. We have given a second chance at life to thousands of animals. #adopt Great River Rescue is a companion animal shelter and low-cost spay/neuter program in Bemidji, MN. Great River Rescue transitions dogs and cats to loving homes, serves as a community resource, and advocates for kind, responsible pet care.

Welcome - Great River Rescue Meet your new best friend. Welcome Appointments are preferred and prioritized Walkins are Welcome. Tuesdays are by appointment only. If you want to see a particular dog or cat please make an appointment so we can ensure that animal is at the shelter for you to meet.
