Exciting conservation news - Bluestem Conservation Cemetery Conservation Cemetery, the first of its kind in central NC, has been permanently protected! 💙🌳This conservation easement marks the culmination of a unique multi-year partnership between Bluestem Community, Eno River Association, and TLC. The 87-acre preserve in Cedar Grove is a public community space for nature, education, conservation and natural burials, and it one of only 13 conservation cemeteries in the nation! "The easement will protect the streams that flow through the property as well as the meadows and forests in this space, while allowing for natural burials in a responsible manner. We are pleased that this will be both a cemetery and a place for people to visit and experience nature at its finest,” said Bo Howes, TLC's Director of Land Protection & Stewardship West 🐦🍃 🌾Bluestem is open to the public from dawn to dusk every day and offers visitors over 3.5 miles of trails to explore.
