Exploration Green is a 200-acre public green-space located in the heart of Clear Lake, dedicated to conservation The Exploration Green Conservancy mission is to create, maintain, and operate Exploration Green’s natural habitats and recreation facilities, support the use of the area for storm water detention and provide healthy lifestyle and environmental education opportunities for community residents. Key Objectives: • Develop educational partnerships with local schools and other groups to enhance community understanding of the benefits of natural habitats, wildlife, conservation, wetlands and storm water management. • Enhance quality of life and outdoor experience for area residents. • Provide abundant natural habitats for birds, butterflies and other wildlife. • Create and maintain trails for hiking, walking, jogging and biking. • Maintain functioning wetlands, lakes and other water features.
