The American Foundation For Arts Education promotes and sponsors arts programs in public schools, including but not limited to fine arts, drama, music (and musical instruments). The original founders inspired the establishment of National Arts in Education Week which starts the second Sunday in September each year and encourages federal, state and local entities to promote arts in education.
