The Mission of American Friends of Exceed is to care for persons with disabilities in underserved regions through education, scholarships, provision of devices, research grants and public awareness.Exceed is a registered charity working with people with disabilities in five locations across Southeast Asia. Its goal is to equip, enable and empower persons with disabilities through the provision of quality rehabilitation services, advocacy and research. Initially established as The Cambodia Trust, in 1989 in response to the landmine crisis in Cambodia, Exceed provided prosthetic limbs to amputees. Since then the organization has become the biggest provider of prosthetic and orthotic education in the world: Training Prothetist-Orthotists to work with people with range of disabilities related to cerebral palsy, diabetes, stroke and road traffic accidents. AFOE is a non-profit organisation 501(c)(3), incorporated in South Carolina, USA. All funds raised by AFOE support the care of persons with disabilities worldwide. American Friends of Exceed follows all accounting and requirements as defined by Internal Revenue Services. The organization is administrated through a Board of Directors.
